Meet Our Arrival Transition Experts

The Arrival Store Transition Experts

Hey! I'm Scot!

I grew up in the great state of Colorado before leaving home at the ripe age 18 to begin a long list of expat adventures. I spent a year in Ecuador studying and finished my University days in British Columbia. My wife and I spent several months traveling and working throughout Asia before settling into Korea for two years as English teachers. I'm super passionate about helping people live interesting stories and making memories. I spend my spare time skiing and mixing classic cocktails!

Hello, I'm Kathleen!

I recently returned from 2 and a half years of teaching in Incheon, South Korea. When I left back in 2009, I only expected to be gone for a year. Who knew that I’d find my second home! I loved every aspect of Korea – the people, food, culture – you name it! To say that South Korea was a life-changing experience would barely touch on the impact it had on me. I am thrilled to share my experiences with you, and to assist you as you prepare for your own life-changing adventure!

Hi. I'm James.

I was lucky enough to visit South Korea as a tourist a few years back. One night, while singing in a norae-bang with some Korean friends until the wee hours of the morning, I thought to myself, “I could definitely live here.” A year later, I was living and teaching near Seoul and having the time of my life. The folks at The Arrival Store were some of the first to welcome me in South Korea, and it made a lasting impression on me. After living there for almost two years, I'm back living in North America and helping expats make South Korea their home.

Hi! My name is Katie!

I am currently living in Colorado! I made the big jump to South Korea a few years ago and loved it. The greatest thing was having everything I needed for my first few days waiting for me at my school. I turned on my phone and called home, plugged in my computer and skyped with my friends, then I made my bed and slept like a queen! Thanks to The Arrival Store my first few days were super smooth- other than trying to eat that live octopus without it coming back up! Eek! I want to help you transition into your new life in South Korea!
